About Meg

 Hey ya'll! Welcome to my little corner of cyberspace.

A bit about myself....

My name is Meg and I am a forty-something living in a sleepy little town in northern Michigan, near the shores of Lake Michigan. I always say that when I grow up I am going to move to the big city, but where I call home feeds my soul and my need for quiet places and open spaces.

Penny

I live here with my dog Penny, who has a wild, free spirit and lives life believing everyone is her best friend. She's also my hiking partner and loves to explore the woods near our house, smelling all the smells and occasionally chasing after a squirrel or two. 

I started Northern Plume to share my art with the world. Being creative is one of my absolute favorite things to do and be.

I fell in love with creating things as a kid, which continues today. I could be found with my head in a coloring book, creating a vast array of characters for a yet unwritten story. As I've gotten older, that has turned into doodling in the margins of my meeting notes and journals, and carrying my sketchbook with me everywhere I go. 

This little corner of the internet is where I share the creative and intentional life I am building - one sketchbook, crochet project and hike at a time. I hope something inspires you here, too!
